Wrestling is fake because for a long time they tried to tell everyone that it was a real fight. Even once everyone basically understood it's a performance and staged they still tried to play it off as real.
When you step back and think of it like an acrobatics performance, with a bit of acting for storyline, it's actually decent to watch. Especially when you get people that are decent at acting, they call back to other things that have happened, and you realize that although what they are doing isn't a fight it's still very dangerous. It's basically a mix of acrobatics, danger, and acting all combined into one.
