This is oecologically a desert, hardly more as a parking lane covered with asphalt. And yes it requires a lot of energy: water and work. Disgusting.
90% of this job is mowing and weedwhipping
Those bubbles of water under the grass are almost always caused by broken sprinkler heads or lines, it’s a huge pain to fix especially when someone drives over one.

Most of the divot we just put the fairway sand…because the divot in every course is not just a lil bit but we need to cover for the whole hole…and the monthly subsoil drainage maintenance for any soggy course
Imagine clearing acres upon acres of land for the world's most BORING sport.
Just out of curiousity: In what kind of geographical area is this located? I live in Finland and that is something i would call abnormal and after thinking a while i could only quess that it has got something to do with the fact that we have got winter conditions -30C/-22F for example or how is it possible for air to crawl(?) under ground like that? And yes, i have played golf in here = such thing would be surreal at golfcourse as well.
