As someone who dislocated both of their two kneecaps at age 9 and 11 because of running, watching this brought me into tears, not just by the trauma that I once had but with the heart of that athlete. She already knew she was injured when she stepped up to help the other runner due to the pressure within that ligament, she chose to lend a helping hand to another even that she also needed one. On top of that she didn't gave up, despite that intense pain in the joint. That's wholesomely awesome.
That was a reckless decision. She risked serious, possibly permanent injury for a guaranteed last-place finish. This isn’t bravery. It’s poor judgment. In situations like this, the smart move is to step back, prioritize recovery, and come back stronger when it truly counts
As a person who has stretched acl 3 times and broke it the 4th time i can confirm it takes at least 10 minutes just to be able to walk and 5 mins to stand up. The pain is insane bro respect to the runner (Im 14 btw)
This reminds me of when I was watching the friendly match of Philippines vs Taipei one of the players in Taipei tripped and the Filipino player started talking to them and helped them get up. (It was Football if you were curious)
I tore my ACL and it was horrible had to get surgery and everything. It is hard to imagine the pain of doing that and still finishing the race. Kudos to her.

Great sportsmanship by both of them. This is what sports should look like.

Women❤️❤️❤️❤️
Imagine getting this horribly injured THIS EASILY. Jesus
SAMEEEEEEEE It happened the same to me
BDE 100%
The smart thing to do is not to further damage an injury, but ain't nobody getting in the way of a driven person and their goal.
I love the sportsmanship stories in the Olympics😊
Cars in real life🤟
God is love ❤️ . They are in God's favor 💯!
Should have stop and get treated. You may lost a battle not a war.
It's 2 times that is impossible

Why finish the race?
The crack terrified me-
Nooo if u tears ur ACL or have a bad injury continuing ur race could end you up with a worse injury and end ur running career!
Just wondering, did she have a permanent injury from this? from continuing despite the alc tear. I hope not and hope she got to compete again.
While her efforts are amazing, its feels like risking ending your career and suffering permanent injury to finish the race last anyway isnt worth it.
THATS SOMETHING CALLED sportsmanship
Helping another make them bigger winners than any stupid medal can offer.
THE MEW ZEALANDER IS MY COUSIN!! THATS MY COUSIN!!
That's sportmaship unlike a certain someone who hit her opponent with metal baton just for a 2nd place.
How the best friendships are made:
I'm from NZ why did they have to fall?💀 That really sucks
